Summary
I have been a fully accredited Accident & Emergency Consultant since 1986.
I am a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Accident & Emergency Medicine and the West Midlands Representative for the British Association of Accident & Emergency Medicine.
I have undertaken medico-legal work over the past twenty three years and I have regularly attended training seminars on all aspects of this work including giving expert evidence in Court, the effect of the Judge Woolf Rules and report preparation in general.
My medico-legal work has involved the preparation of approximately 500 reports a year, joint statements with colleagues, conferences with Counsel and Court appearances as an Expert Witness.
I trained in pancreatic and biliary surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, urology, vascular surgery, general surgery and proctology up until the end of 1982 when I concentrated on Accident & Emergency Medicine.
My work in this discipline includes interests in trauma, soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, head and neck injuries.
